Spectator Safety NVQ: level 2
This qualification is for anyone who works in the Spectator Safety environment. The Learner must show a sufficient level of competence to complete all six mandatory units.
This qualification aims to assess the competence of stewards/marshalls. Learners would be expected to demonstrate ability in helping to manage conflict, deal with crowd problems, accident and emergencies, and control the entry, exit and movement of spectators.
There are no formal entry requirements but Learners must be currently working in an appropriate environment.
Mandatory
- Prepare for spectator events
- Control entry, exit and movement of people at spectator events
- Monitor spectators and deal with crowd problems
- Help to manage conflict
- Contribute to the work of your team
- Deal with accidents and emergencies
How is the qualification delivered and assessed?
Learners are assessed in the workplace performing real work activities. In addition to observation, there is a range of other methods of assessment available such as witness testimony and simulation
